Captain – The leader in charge of the company.

Robert Buckby has been a member of the Boys’ Brigade for 30 years and has wealth of experience having been involved in various companies in the Nottingham area. He aims to provide a safe and fun environment for Boys to develop and reach their potential.

Leiutenants – The leaders who run activities.

Paul Tarry is new to leadership within the Boys Brigade. He brings with him over twenty years’ experience of working with children and young people. He has five children who are all members of either the Boys or Girls Brigade.

Helpers – The leaders who assist other officers in running the company.

Rod Caroll originally started his BB life as a boy in the 2nd Nottingham company ‘Dako’, his enthusiasm for the Brigade never dwindled and Rod has been a leader at Westdale for many years prior to its closure a few years ago. When Rod learned it was to re-open he jumped at the chance to come back.

Philip Berry is also new to leadership within the Boys’ Brigade, however Philip’s wife, Diana was an officer in the Girls’ Brigade for many years. Both Diana and Philip were heavily involved in fundraising. Philip’s children were brought up in the Brigade. Fiona, his daughter is now an officer and Diana is a helper in the Girls’ brigade based at Westdale Lane Baptist Church.

Ian MacPherson has been in the Brigade as a boy, his mother a captain in the Girls’ Brigade in Arnold for many years, so Ian has had a Brigade upbringing from birth! Ian joined us at Westdale Lane in September after a short time out, previously he was one of Roberts older Boys’ at his old company in Arnold.
